Terms of Service
Effective 7 September 2026 · Version 2026-09-07
These Terms are a legal agreement between you and Ocranthor LLC ("we", "us"). They govern your use of the Loreglass application and related services (the "Service"). By ticking the acceptance box, creating an account, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who may use the Service
You must be at least 13 years old. The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly permit them to create an account or collect their personal information. If we learn that we hold personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it. A parent or guardian who believes their under-13 child has created an account should contact privacy@ocranthor.com.
If you are between 13 and 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, and only they may make purchases.
You must have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, and you must not be barred from using the Service under the laws of your country.
2. Your account
You sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping access to that account secure and for everything done through it. Tell us promptly at support@ocranthor.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
You may use a guest session without an account. Guest data is stored on your device and may be lost if you sign out, delete the app, or switch accounts. Do not rely on a guest session to keep anything you care about.
3. Licence to use the Service
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own tabletop role-playing campaigns, including running games for the players you invite. You may not sell, sublicense, rent, or commercially redistribute the Service itself.
You must not:
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, prompts, or model configuration, except where that right cannot lawfully be restricted;
- probe, scan, or interfere with the Service's security, or attempt to access another user's data;
- use automated means to access the Service at a scale or rate that degrades it for others, or to circumvent usage limits;
- resell, redistribute, or bulk-export generated content as a competing dataset or service;
- use the Service to build a competing product, or to train a machine learning model on its outputs.
4. Your content
"Your Content" means campaigns, characters, notes, prompts, uploaded images, and anything else you create or upload.
You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate and support the Service for you — for example, syncing it between your devices, showing a player-safe copy to players you share a campaign with, and sending a prompt to an AI provider so it can generate what you asked for. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already distributed to players you shared with, and backups retained for the period described in the Privacy Policy.
We do not claim ownership of Your Content and we do not use it to advertise to you.
You are responsible for having the rights to everything you upload. Do not upload material you do not have permission to use, including copyrighted artwork, or images of other people without their consent.
5. Shared campaigns
If you share a campaign, other users can obtain a copy of the player-safe projection of it. Understand two things:
- Sharing is not revocable in the ordinary sense. Stopping a share removes the campaign from our servers and asks players' apps to delete their local copy, but we cannot guarantee that every copy is destroyed.
- You choose what players see. The Service distinguishes DM-only material from player-visible material, but you are responsible for what you mark as revealed.
If you join someone else's campaign, their content remains theirs. Do not redistribute it.
6. AI-generated content
The Service uses third-party AI models to generate text, images, and speech. You must understand and accept the following.
- Output can be wrong. Generated rules, lore, and narration may be inaccurate, inconsistent, or nonsensical. Nothing generated is professional, legal, medical, financial, or safety advice.
- Output is not guaranteed to be unique. Another user may receive similar or identical output from a similar prompt. We make no representation about your ability to claim exclusive rights in AI output, and the legal status of ownership in AI-generated material differs by country and is unsettled.
- Output can be unexpected or unwelcome despite the filtering described below. If you encounter output that should have been blocked, please report it to support@ocranthor.com.
- Your prompts are sent to third parties. See the Privacy Policy for who, and for what.
- You are responsible for your prompts. Do not attempt to generate prohibited content (see section 7).
We screen prompts and generated images automatically. Screening is imperfect in both directions: it will sometimes block acceptable fantasy content and will sometimes fail to block something it should. It is a safeguard, not a guarantee.
7. Prohibited content and conduct
You must not use the Service to create, upload, request, or share:
- Any sexual content involving minors, or content that sexualises a minor in any way. This is an absolute prohibition. We report suspected child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities and terminate accounts immediately and permanently.
- sexually explicit or pornographic material;
- gratuitously graphic gore, or content glorifying real-world violence, self-harm, or suicide;
- harassment, threats, hate speech, or content that demeans people on the basis of a protected characteristic;
- content promoting terrorism or violent extremism;
- material that infringes anyone's intellectual property or privacy — if you believe something on the Service infringes your copyright, see our Copyright and takedown policy;
- malware, or anything designed to disrupt the Service or other users' devices.
The Service is built for a family-friendly and educational audience. Ordinary heroic fantasy conflict is expected and allowed; explicit sexual content and extreme gore are not.
8. Reporting and enforcement
Report content or behaviour that breaches these Terms to support@ocranthor.com. We aim to acknowledge reports within 5 business days.
We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms. Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so we will tell you why and give you an opportunity to respond. For serious breaches — child sexual abuse material above all — we act immediately and without notice.
We keep a record of automated policy blocks in order to improve the filters. That record contains the category and the matched term, and deliberately contains no information identifying who triggered it.
9. Subscriptions, purchases, and trials
Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are sold on our website and handled by Stripe; the following terms apply.
Payment is taken by Stripe, and these automatic renewal terms apply:
- Your subscription renews automatically for the same period — monthly or annual, whichever you chose — and we will charge the payment method you gave Stripe at the start of each new period, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel.
- You may cancel at any time, with no fee and no reason needed. Go to loreglass.org/account and choose Manage billing, or write to sales@ocranthor.com. Cancelling stops the next charge; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- The current price of each plan, and the length of each billing period, are shown next to the subscribe button before you buy, and again on Stripe's payment page before you confirm.
- Stripe emails you a receipt for every charge.
- You must be 18 or over to subscribe. We check the date of birth on your account and refuse checkout otherwise. A parent or guardian may subscribe on their own account.
We offer a free trial period to new accounts. Trial usage is subject to limits, which we may change. A free trial does not turn into a paid subscription by itself — nothing is charged unless you choose a plan and enter payment details. Where the law gives you a right to cancel or a cooling-off period, that right is unaffected by anything here.
We may change prices. Any change applies from the next billing period, and we will give you reasonable advance notice — for website subscriptions, at least 30 days by email, so you can cancel first if you would rather not continue.
10. Usage limits and availability
We apply limits — on messages, images, and speech generation — to keep costs sustainable and to prevent abuse. Limits vary by plan and may change. We will not reduce limits for a period you have already paid for without offering a refund of the unused portion.
The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not promise uninterrupted service, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
11. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, design, and original setting material (including the world of Aetherion and its invented languages) are owned by Ocranthor LLC and protected by intellectual property law.
Game rules and reference material are drawn from the System Reference Document 5.2 ("SRD 5.2"), © Wizards of the Coast LLC, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC-BY-4.0). We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast. Trademarks including "Dungeons & Dragons" belong to their owners and are not used under licence.
12. Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties, including AI providers, cloud infrastructure, and sign-in providers. They are listed in the Privacy Policy. Their acts are not within our control, and their own terms govern their services.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from within the app, or by writing to privacy@ocranthor.com. Deleting your account deletes your content as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may terminate or suspend your access as described in section 8, or if we cease to operate the Service. Sections 4 (as to licences already granted), 11, 14, 15, and 16 survive termination.
14. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, that content will be preserved without loss, or that filtering will catch everything it should.
Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. The app provides export functions for this purpose.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill;
- our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars (US$50).
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability under your local consumer protection law. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you keep all rights given to you by mandatory local law, and the limitations above apply only to the extent that law permits.
16. Indemnity
If you use the Service in breach of these Terms, you agree to indemnify Ocranthor LLC against claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from that breach. This does not apply to the extent the claim arises from our own breach or negligence, and it does not apply to consumers where local law prohibits it.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Florida for any dispute.
If you are a consumer resident in the EU or the UK, this section does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at legal@ocranthor.com so we can try to resolve the matter directly.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will give you notice in the app and ask you to accept the new version before continuing to use the affected features. Continued use after a non-material change constitutes acceptance.
19. General
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, on notice to you. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us regarding the Service.
20. Notice for California residents
Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under California law, and the following applies in addition to everything above.
Cancelling a subscription. You may cancel online at any time at loreglass.org/account — the same way you subscribed, without having to call or write to anyone. See section 9 for the full automatic renewal terms.
Your privacy rights. California residents have rights to know, delete, correct, and obtain a copy of their personal information. We extend those rights to everyone, wherever they live, and you can exercise them yourself in the app under Settings → Privacy. See section 11 of the Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing for you to opt out of.
Users under 18. If you are a California resident under 18 and registered with the Service, you may ask us to remove content you posted. Delete it in the app, or write to privacy@ocranthor.com. Removal may not be complete or comprehensive where the law does not require it — for example, content another Game Master has already copied into their own campaign notes.
Complaints. Under California Civil Code §1789.3, users of California-based electronic commercial services are entitled to this notice: the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs may be contacted in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210.
